“Snehadhara” Convent, Odisha
To follow the desire of St. Raphaela Mary, to make Jesus known to many, we started exploring places in the North. in 2002 Mary and Prisca visited Dumka – Raiganj Diocese. As part of vocation work they went around many parishes, schools and colleges. And spoke to girls about our Congregation. Br. Simon Roche Sj who was studying in Pune introduced us to Bishop of Raiganj Diocese. On meeting him then and there he wrote an invitation letter and handed over to us. As we had received the invitation Srs. Audry and Mary came to meet Bishop after few months. He himself took us around to different parishes where we could possibly go and work.
12th September 2005 Srs. Audry, Mary and Suvarna left Mumbai for Rourkela after a long awaited dream of coming to North East. On13th the sisters reached Rourkela we moved to Basanti Colony on 19th July 2006. SNEHADHARA Trust got it registered at the registration office in Rourkela on 6th December 2007. On 31st of July 2008 was the Inauguration of our house in Orampara. 8th September 2008 the Feast of Our Lady the foundation stone for the Hostel was laid.
