info content

Premadhar which means “Loving Support”, is a creche which cares for the children of domestic workers living in the slums, while their parents are at work. Premadhar began with 18 children and 3 caretakers on 14th October 1993. Now we have 50 children from the nearby slums. All the children who come to our crèche are from the lower socio-economic strata of society.

AIM:

  • To help these children to have a happy and safe early childhood and develop the skills necessary to enroll in primary school.
  • To facilitate empowerment of women.
  • To educate the families of these children.

A social worker conducts regular interactive sessions on issues that touch their lives like health, hygiene, how to better relations at home and in the place of work etc.
