Catechesis – The sisters teach catechism at St. Joseph’s Church, Juhu and Holy Cross Church, Juhu Koliwada. Parish catechesis is a ministry of the Church; one that is both challenging and very rewarding. Catechesis is the process of making one’s faith more living, conscious and active. It is supposed to help believers observe, interpret and judge their life experiences in light of the gospels and the teachings of the Church. Catechesis is seen as being an integral part of parish life and worship. The parish community that is gathered around the Sunday Eucharist is the concrete reference point for our journey of faith. The life and worship of the parish is the catechism Liturgy groups – Liturgy gives praise to God. It articulates and supports the faith of the parish. Liturgy addresses the joys, needs, hungers, celebrations of all. Each season of the year reflects a different face of God. It also reflects our faith by the choice of liturgies, readings, prayers, hymns and symbols. Youth Ministry – We approach young people, recognizing what is of God in them, awakening and accompanying their search for meaning and helping them discover Jesus Christ Basic Christian communities – We sisters animate the Small Christian communities in the parish. The purpose of the SCCs is to provide all the lay faithful an opportunity to live their faith in the neighborhood – i.e., reflecting on the Bible, praying together, building a bond of caring and sharing, and reaching out in loving service to all, especially the needy.
