Children’s Day

“Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs” (Mth. 19;14). India’s first President Pandith Jawaharlal Nehru loved the children and so he is called Chacha Nehru.  India celebrates children’s day on his birthday. About 43 children from nursery to class 5th were

present. They were welcomed with the badges. We began the program with prayer song by hostel students.  The Hostel students conducted varieties of entertaining games.  Painting competition too was held for each class. At the end of the program they were given small gift. Children enjoyed the evening with us. They are looking forward to meet again.

World Day of Poor

“Let us love, not with words but with deeds”. As our response to Pope Francis on the first World Day of Poor, we had invited children from the railway station to our house on 20th November. Around 11 children were present. When they came they were given tea and biscuits. They played indoor games while some of them watched TV. Afternoon they were served  lunch. After lunch each one was given a sweater and sweets. They went back happily.
